Next Thursday (11/17) I have a photography exhibit opening at the G2 Gallery in Venice, CA. I’m one of three photographers featured in an exhibit called Emerging IV, which highlights the work of “early career photographers.” The photos I’m displaying show some of the amazing bird life in LA County — they’re part of a collection I assembled for a website that I created in collaboration with the Santa Monica Bay Audubon Society (SMBAS). The SMBAS also generously agreed to support the printing costs for this exhibit at the G2 Gallery.
If you’ve never been to the G2 Gallery before, this is a great opportunity to check it out! The gallery showcases some amazing nature photography and donates all proceeds to environmental causes.
Your $5 donation at the door is a good deal, because you’ll get wine, margaritas, and hors d’oeuvres — and it all goes to a good cause!
You can come any time between 6:30 and 9:00pm, Thursday 11/17. If you plan to come, PLEASE RSVP to . Thanks! I hope to see you there. Here’s the G2 Gallery’s description of the event:
“Join The G2 Gallery in celebrating our two latest exhibits, Emerging IV and Friend or Fo-to. Meet photographers Beverly Houwing, Mark Leevan, Neil Losin, Sheri Mandel, and Christopher Taylor at this very special event introducing some of the most up and coming practitioners in the field of conservation photography.
“Come nosh on yummy finger foods and toast to the artists with wine and margaritas. Live music for the evening will be provided by Eric Kufs. Complimentary valet in front of the gallery.
